Rehearsals

The rehearsals will take place in the heart of the village of Saint-Symphorien-de-Lay in the Loire (42).

About 1h10 from Lyon and 20 minutes from Roanne, About 1h10 from Lyon and 20 minutes from Roanne, the setting will be rural while remaining practical: it is possible to arrive by train (Régny station) or by carpooling for those who wish, then all the activities are accessible on foot once there.

Downstairs, near the river, take advantage of the Municipal Swimming Pool to cool off during the hottest hours of the day!

Accomodation

Several types of accommodation are available: camping (La Roche, next to the Swimming Pool), or with locals or in small chalets (La Roche) with a view of the water reservoir, to each their own level of comfort – and for all budgets!

  • Camping pitch: €5/night/person or €30 per week
  • FULL – Night in a homestay*: €5/night/pers. or €30 per week
  • Chalets for 4 people **: 400€/week for the chalet

Catering

Collective catering will be set up and you can come and enjoy lunch at the village school canteen and in the evening at the Ancienne Laiterie with bio and local product!

  • 1 evening meal : 6€
  • Weekly packages (from Sunday noon to Saturday noon) :
    • All meals : 103€
    • Only at lunchtime: 49€

Please let us know in advance that you will be there so that you can anticipate the races for the week.

But if you prefer to have more flexibility, the village is full of possibilities: local shops (grocery store, butcher, bakeries, supermarket) and restaurants!

You can even come and eat with everyone at the last minute and without having made a reservation, as long as you bring a dish to share!

Delphine currently teaches classical singing and choral singing at the Conservatoire de Vaulx-en-Velin. She sings in parallel in ensembles such as Unacorda and the workshop choir of the CNSMD of Lyon. Come and rub your vocal cords with the one who has more than one in her bow!

Christel has been a musician (dumist) in the elementary schools of Bron for 30 years. She joins the team for this second edition of the Allez’Chante Week. Welcome!

In 2024, the courses took place at the Théâtre des Mansardes, in the heart of the village. Read the interview with Philippe LAURENT – Director of the Théâtre des Mansardes, who gave us his view of the first Allez’Chante Week:
